Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Pilates?

Pilates is a low-impact exercise method that focuses on strength, flexibility, and body awareness. It helps improve posture, balance, and mobility while building deep core strength.

2. Who can practice Pilates?

Pilates is suitable for everyone — regardless of age, gender, or fitness level. Each session can be adapted to your individual needs, whether you’re a beginner, athlete, or recovering from an injury.

3. What types of classes do you offer?

We offer:

  • Private sessions for fully personalized attention

  • Duet sessions for pairs or friends

  • Mini-Group classes (Reformer, Mat+Tower) for up to 3 participants
Each class is tailored to your body and goals.

4. Equipment Pilates vs. Mat Pilates — what’s the difference?

Equipment-based Pilates (Reformer & Tower) uses spring systems that both support and challenge the body. The machines help you move with better alignment, more control, and greater precision, while allowing exercises to be tailored to your individual needs. This makes training not only more effective, but also safer — especially for building strength, improving posture, and working with injuries or limitations.

Mat Pilates relies mainly on body weight and minimal props. While it can build endurance and body awareness, it offers limited feedback and support, which can make it harder to maintain proper alignment — especially without close supervision.

That’s why at Kalyna Pilates Studio we focus on equipment-based Pilates: it allows for deeper, smarter, and more personalized work with the body.

5. Do I need prior experience?

No experience is needed to start at Kalyna Pilates Studio — beginners are very welcome. Before your first session, you will be invited to an Initial Consultation, where we get to know your body, goals, and any limitations. This allows us to place you in the right class and adapt the exercises from day one — safely, thoughtfully, and personally.

6. What should I wear and bring to class?

We recommend comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows full freedom of movement and clear alignment.
For hygiene and safety reasons, training socks are required — grip socks are ideal and strongly recommended.

Towels and all necessary equipment are provided in the studio, so you can simply arrive and focus on your practice.

7. How can I book a class?

You can book your session directly via Eversports or contact us by WhatsApp or email.
Private and duet sessions can be booked through our studio team.
Please contact us directly to schedule — these sessions are not available for self-booking.

8. Can Pilates help with back, neck pain or posture issues?

Yes. Pilates strengthens the deep stabilizing muscles of the spine and improves alignment, flexibility, and core control — making it ideal for preventing or relieving back and neck pain.

9. How often should I practice Pilates?

For best results, we recommend 2–3 sessions per week. However, even one regular class per week will bring noticeable improvements in body awareness and strength.

10. What is your cancellation policy?

Classes can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours in advance.
For later changes or missed sessions, the full fee applies, as your reserved time cannot be offered to another client.

11. Where is the studio located?
